Eight Count

Rhythm Builder for Dancers

Kick
Snare
Hi-Hat
Clap
Snap

Tap any cell in the grid to cycle through instruments. Each row is one count, with four subdivisions: 1, e, &, a. Set your tempo, hit play, and loop.

Each beat in music can be divided into four parts. Musicians and dancers count these as "1 e & a" (said "one-ee-and-uh"). This gives you control over exactly where each sound lands within the beat.
Keep tapping. The instruments cycle through Kick → Snare → Hi-Hat → Clap → Snap → Empty. Tap past Snap to clear the cell.
Start slow while learning a new rhythm or drill, then increase as it becomes comfortable. Use the + and − buttons to adjust the speed per count to your liking.
